The digital transformation, and especially the use of IoT (Internet of Things) in the world is drastically changing the most relevant sectors: Energy, Agriculture, Transport, Health and other industrial sectors of the economy that, together, represent almost two thirds world GDP. In addition, it will transform the way of working between humans and machines.

To harness the full potential of the Smart Factory, companies and governments will have to overcome a number of significant obstacles. Chief among them will be to address data security and privacy, which are already increasing in importance, given the increased vulnerability to attacks, espionage, and data theft driven by increased connectivity and data sharing.
