The last event organised by the CCI in 2013 has showed that Industrial Cybersecurity is a team effort.
Fortinet and Group CMC joined their knowledge to make a practical demo that explained the easiness of perturbing an ICS by attacking its communication protocols or the systems using them, and how to defend them by properly using security devices.
Tecnocom with its technological partner Cisco explained how technological solutions can be combined to provide Industrial Cybersecurity services. Some of those solutions are from Sourcefire, now part of Cisco, which showed the advanced functionalities of its products able to provide an accurate and real time vision of the systems and activities in a network through their capabilities of integration with different vendors.
The discussion panel had for end users: Gas Natural Fenosa, Air Liquide, Iberdrola y EMT who discussed the technological needs of end users to keep up their cybersecurity and how vendors should face these new challenges.
The Industrial Cybersecurity Center took the opportunity to present some preliminary results of the study about the Current status of Industrial Cybersecurity in Spain, review the activities made during 2013 and present the activities plan for 2014.
The event had an unbeatable atmosphere where more than 80 attendees drank a glass of Cava for a new year full of success and good news in the world of Industrial Cybersecurity.
