What is the IACS Cybersecurity Responsible Course – Coordinated by ISA Spain – CCI?
How to implement an Industrial Cybersecurity Management System in an IACS environment?
In this highly practical course, students will learn the keys to implementing an Industrial Cybersecurity Management System in an IACS environment, based on both risk analysis and cybersecurity diagnosis.
The guide for constructing a SGCI will be the perfect support during this training. This exclusive CCI document applies specific guidelines from IEC62443 and ISO27001 standards for effective and continuous risk management concerning the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of operations and information managed by industrial automation and control systems.
What you will learn in this training
- Identify and define the concepts of cybersecurity in industrial control systems, analyzing the risks and impacts on business and our lives from different technological and security perspectives.
- Discover and analyze the state of the art in the protection of IACS (Industrial Automation and Control Systems).
- Discuss important organizational and management aspects: IT Director vs. Security Director vs. Plant Director vs. Production/Manufacturing Director. Design and propose an appropriate management framework for industrial automation and control infrastructures.
- Detect and analyze the current state of security in the industrial environment, and the threats and vulnerabilities of industrial control systems, recognizing their associated risk in a report.
- Manage digital security in an operational technology environment. Establish, implement, and adopt a security program for industrial automation and control systems.
Who is it for?

Frequently asked questions
Do I need prior knowledge in cybersecurity?
We consider it essential for students to have a basic understanding of industrial environments, including aspects of automation and industrial communications, which are ideal for this Cybersecurity Manager in IACS Course.
To facilitate this foundation, before the course begins, CCI will provide access to a virtual and dynamic educational resource. This material aims to give students a solid understanding of these fundamental concepts.
Our ongoing goal is to ensure the highest success for our students and participants.
Why specialize as a Cybersecurity Manager in IACS?
Industrial sectors rely on their industrial control systems (ICS) for operations, and the strong technological component of their systems and communications generates risks that need to be understood, assessed, and addressed. This issue affects many sectors, including electricity, mining, energy, transportation, telecommunications, food, and hydrocarbons, to name a few.
-
- The significant increase in cyberattacks in industrial environments.
- The high shortage of cybersecurity professionals specialized in such a specific environment as industrial production.
- The creation of new and extensive regulatory and cybersecurity requirements in various industrial sector verticals.
