Since 2017, Juan Caubet has directed the IT&OT Security Technology Unit of the Eurecat Technology Center. He is a Telecommunications Engineer and has a doctorate in Computer Security from the UPC. He carried out his doctoral thesis at the Information Security Group (ISG) of the UPC on identity management in structured peer-to-peer networks.

In 2013, he made a stay at the Inria Nancy – Grand Est research center (France) to advance his thesis. From 2014 to 2017 he was a professor of the Master's Degree in Cybersecurity at La Salle University (Ramón Llull University). And since 2017 he has been leading Eurecat research in the field of cybersecurity and Blockchain technology. Juan has published more than a dozen scientific articles related to his research, frequently writes articles for the press and is speaker at numerous recognized congresses and conferences.
