Mary Vargas is Coordinator of the Center for Industrial Cybersecurity in Ecuador, Computer Engineer with a Mention in Communication Networks.

Mary has an MBA in Business Administration; and, Diplomas in Computer Security, Internetworking Networks and Digital Transformation.

She has worked in the Electricity Sector for more than 15 years, in the field of Information Technology, Information Security and Industrial Cybersecurity.

Mary has implemented Information Security Management Systems - ISMS and has successfully executed several projects in: Information Security, Computer Science and Industrial Cybersecurity.

Her training covers the field of Computer Security, Information Security, Project Management, Risk Management, Incident Response Center, Security in SCADA Systems, among others.

Mary is part of the CERT - CSIRT Cooperation team of Ecuador.
